I am drowning in books. Books I’ve been sent, books I’ve bought, books I’ve put on hold at the library, books by friends, books by strangers, new books, old books, books from award lists, books that missed out on award lists, books recommended by friends and booksellers and instagram and (dwindling) newspaper books pages. It’s a delicious, privileged, wonderful thing - but it’s drowning all the same.
There are too many books and, conversely, there can never, ever be too many books. So how does a reader make time for reading?
