On writing sex scenes and having them edited
I spent the weekend deep in the copyedit for my new novel. As you might imagine (or know from your own experience!), it was sometimes awful and sometimes wonderful. One of the more delightful aspects was knowing that, at least for my editors, the sex scenes landed. Writing sex is fraught, and then editing it is…strangely intimate.
