Hello dear readers. It’s been a big couple of weeks, and it feels pretty ace to be able to put some of that bigness down in words to you, especially the news I'm super keen to share! Thank you so much for being here.
For those of you who follow along on the socials with my sometimes crazy and sometimes very ordinary adventures, you might have seen that after getting home from my NZ residency, I headed off again last week to Sydney. There were meetings with brilliant designer, Eva Harbridge (who I’ve been working with on an aspect of the new novel), catch ups with writer friends old (the fabulous Ashley Kalagian Blunt who has a brand new book out - Dark Mode - in 2023) and new (Amy Lovat of Secret Book Stuff who also has her debut coming in 2023 and Clare Fletcher, author of Five Bush Weddings), and the opportunity to teach a brand new short course Talking the Talk for Writing NSW (which I’m going to run online in 2023!). Last time I told you I was playing the waiting game, anxiously checking the inbox for word from my publisher, and I can tell you the waiting ended (can’t tell you more than that, yet!). But that wasn’t all of it.
